Hadith no.1: ''Religion Is Sincerity''

The word 'nasiha' ( in Arabic form of hadith) is used to highlight the meaning of being sincere with someone or something in every aspect and to express good demeanour towards them. At first, sincerity means to do something with pure intention. So, ''religion is sincerity'' means that we have to be sincere with Allah, His messengers, His books, the leaders of Islam and the masses.

Being sincere with Allah means that one should believe in him wholeheartedly; with no shadow of a doubt. All of his commands should be obeyed as an act of subordination with complete faith that He is the Master and Creator of this universe and all the other things kept secret to us. One should inculcate in his mind that Allah is the Master of the day of judgement and we will be answerable before Him for our good and bad deeds performed in this world. This will surely lead our hearts to be pure and cease us to get indulge in sins.

The books revealed by him on His messengers also deserve sincerity. We should read, recite, understand, and give importance to it as well as try our best to ponder upon its verses. In addition, we should also stop others to desecrate it.

Sincerity with the messenger is to put faith in him as the messenger of Allah and give him respect to our utmost. Moving forward, the motive supporting the need to send the Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) was to abandon shirk and show the right path to the whole of mankind. In this manner, Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) was the one and only perfect human on this earth. Thus, his life is a role model for everyone. So, we should follow his sunnah and what he pecked on us and delimited for us.

Sincerity also falls within the ambit of leaders of Muslims. We are expected to respect and obey them. Furthermore, support them to the fullest possible extent when they perform affairs of Islamic Sharia. We should not criticise them upon every matter as it will pave the way for Satan to foster sectarianism. Instead, practising constructive criticism only in the need of an hour is a good habit.

Wrapping up, common people are also included in the circle of sincerity. They need to be given advice, spoken nicely as well as given protection every time they lack it. So, what are we waiting for? Let's make our intentions pure to make the doors of Jannah open for us and please Allah!
